Application: Biochemical research; Nutrient composition of tissue culture medium. It is clinically used to treat vitamin B deficiency, peripheral neuritis and post-operative enteric colic.
Use: as food fortifying agent. Can be used for infant food, the use of 15 ~ 28mg/kg; 2 ~ 4mg/kg in drinking liquid.

The human body needs about 5mg of calcium pantothenate (measured in pantothenic acid) per day. Calcium pantothenate is used in food processing as a nutritional supplement. Except for special nutritional foods, the usage must be less than 1% (in calcium) (Japan). 10mg/100g for milk powder fortification. The addition of 0.02% in soju and whiskey can enhance the flavor.
