Benzabate is a blood lipid regulator derived from clobebutyric acid. There are two mechanisms of its hypolipidemic effect. First, it increases the activities of lipoprotein lipase and liver lipase, promotes the catabolism of very low density lipoprotein, and reduces the level of blood triglyceride. Secondly, this product reduces the secretion of very low density lipoprotein.
